On March 20, 2021, Deonte Minor, a 23-year-old resident of King George, Virginia, was fatally shot in Washington, D.C. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Southern Avenue, Southeast. At approximately 7:56 p.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to a report of a walk-in shooting victim at a local hospital. Upon arrival, they found Deonte Minor suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
