In the late summer of 2014, a vibrant life was tragically cut short in Las Vegas, Nevada. Deanna Serano, a 33-year-old Black / African American woman, found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time, a victim of a senseless act of violence that unfolded in the early morning hours of August 16th. What began as a dispute inside a restaurant near Flamingo Road and the 215 Beltway soon spilled out into the parking lot, escalating into a chaotic and ultimately fatal confrontation.
