On October 25, 2011, 42-year-old Rosa Castrejon was tragically shot and killed at Six Mile Cove, a remote beach on Lake Mohave near Searchlight, Nevada. She and her boyfriend, Leo Cardenas, were ambushed while enjoying a day by the lake. The attack left Rosa dead from a gunshot wound to the head, while Cardenas survived but was left paralyzed. The case remains unsolved, with authorities still seeking information to identify the perpetrators responsible for the deadly assault​
