Rosa Castrejon, 42, a Hispanic woman from Las Vegas, was found shot to death on the morning of October 25, 2011, at Six Mile Cove, a remote beach on the Nevada side of Lake Mohave east of Searchlight. A 911 call from visitors brought park rangers and Las Vegas police to the sandy shoreline around 9:15–9:16 a.m., where they discovered Castrejon deceased and her boyfriend gravely wounded.
