On a grim June day in 1981, the quiet life of a Las Vegas couple came to a violent end in a manner that felt ripped from the pages of a spy novel. The bodies of Xenia Rabinowitsch, a 72-year-old Caucasian female, and her husband Jack were discovered in their home on June 25th. The couple, who had met as children in their native Latvia and later emigrated from the USSR, were found on their bed, each killed by a single gunshot to the back of the head.
