On a warm Sunday evening in Las Vegas, the vibrant atmosphere of a block party and car show was shattered by sudden violence. On May 28, 2006, Tina Marie Robles, a 41-year-old woman, was among the hundreds gathered in the 500 block of Frederick Avenue, enjoying the festivities of Memorial Day weekend. Tragically, the celebration turned into a scene of mass hysteria when multiple gunshots rang out, fired into the large crowd.
