On April 10, 2015, Derek Cooper Jr., a 28-year-old man, was found dead in an apartment located in the 200 block of South Sixth Street in downtown Las Vegas. The Clark County coroner's office identified Cooper and determined that he died from a gunshot wound to the chest, along with multiple other gunshot wounds.
