In the early morning hours of Thursday, August 23, 2018, the life of Otis Lee Turner, a 28-year-old Black / African American man, was tragically cut short in Las Vegas, Nevada. A passing driver discovered his body on the side of Walnut Road near Alto Avenue at approximately 12:30 a.m. and flagged down an officer, initially believing he had been the victim of a hit-and-run.
