On New Year's Day in 2022, a tragedy unfolded in a central Las Vegas apartment, cutting short the life of 61-year-old Priscilla Priddy. An African American female, Priscilla was found by police around 11:30 a.m. at a residence on East Flamingo Road. She had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to her head and trunk and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Clark County coroner's office later officially ruled her death a homicide.
The events leading to her death reportedly stemmed from a domestic dispute. Investigations by law enforcement pointed to a quarrel between Priscilla and her roommate. The argument escalated to a fatal conclusion, leaving one person dead and another facing serious criminal charges.
In connection with the shooting, police arrested 68-year-old Glenn Wright. Wright, who lived with Priddy, was taken into custody and subsequently charged with one count of open murder. He was held without bail pending further legal proceedings. The incident, a violent start to the new year, left friends and the community to mourn the loss of Priscilla Priddy.
