On May 14, 2022, a tragic incident occurred in Las Vegas, Nevada, resulting in the death of 27-year-old Jake D. Cortez. The incident took place in the early hours of the morning, around 12:30 a.m., in the 1400 block of North Christy Lane, near Owens Avenue. Cortez and two other individuals were shot during this incident.
