In the early morning hours of March 26, 2018, the life of 27-year-old Darin King, a Black / African American man, was tragically cut short in an east Las Vegas home. The incident unfolded around 5:15 a.m. on the 100 block of Sacramento Drive, near Charleston and Lamb boulevards.

The person accused of the shooting was 20-year-old Alisha Rucker, who was described as a friend of King. According to police reports, the events leading to the fatal shooting began when Rucker woke her sister, wan ...
