On February 20, 2023, the bodies of 65-year-old Vincent Spoto and his longtime partner, 46-year-old Shella "Bella" Huey, were discovered in a makeshift shelter behind an AutoZone store at 3290 S. Nellis Blvd., near East Desert Inn Road in Las Vegas. Both victims had sustained gunshot wounds: Spoto to the head and Huey to the neck and head. Authorities believe the couple was killed between the late hours of February 17 and the early morning of February 18, possibly while they were asleep.
