In the early morning hours of July 3, 1974, the discovery of a man's body in the parking lot of the Aladdin Theater, located near East Colfax Avenue and Race Street in Denver, marked the tragic end to the life of Leonard McAdoo. A 30-year-old Black male, McAdoo had been out at a local tavern earlier in the evening. The on-scene investigation by the Denver Police Department soon revealed that he had been shot to death.
