In the summer of 2017, the life of 35-year-old Kahari Oliver, a male originally from California, was cut short in Denver, Colorado. On the night of Thursday, July 13th, police responded to a call in the 4200 block of N. Milwaukee Street. There, in an alley behind a security firm, they discovered Oliver's body just outside a camper where he had been living.
He was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.
Neighbors recalled Oliver as someone who may have performed odd jobs for the owner of the business near where his camper was parked. In the wake of his death, a GoFundMe campaign was initiated to help his family transport his body back to California. The Denver Police Department immediately began treating the case as a homicide investigation.
At the time, law enforcement officials expressed concern that the individual responsible for Oliver's death was still at large. Despite the ongoing investigation, publically available information and news reports in the years following the incident have not provided any updates regarding arrests made or the identification of any suspects in connection with the shooting.
