On October 17, 2016, 23-year-old Jordan Valdez was fatally stabbed in Denver, Colorado, during an altercation near Mexico Avenue and Raleigh Street. The incident reportedly stemmed from a dispute between two young women that escalated into violence. Lorenzo Simental, who was present during the confrontation, was charged with first-degree murder after being identified as the suspect in the stabbing.
