In the cold, early hours of a Denver morning, a distress call led police to a condominium in the Montbello neighborhood, the beginning of a story that, for now, has no end. It was March 1, 2014, when officers entered the residence at 5255 Memphis Street to find a grim scene. Inside lay the bodies of two men, 23-year-old Dontai Rashad Carter and 31-year-old Richard E.
