On the evening of April 1, 1980, a tragic incident occurred at Mario’s Transmission, an auto repair shop located near the intersection of West 44th Avenue and Clay Street in Denver, Colorado. Members of the Denver Police Department responded to the scene, where they discovered the bodies of 50-year-old Mario Horta and his step-son, 20-year-old Frank Lopez.
