Death by Force

On July 10, 2001, 29-year-old Lawny Crews was fatally shot in Denver, Colorado. Crews was at home when unknown individuals attempted to force entry at gunpoint. He managed to push the door closed, but one assailant fired through it, striking Crews in the chest. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
