In the summer of 2004, a young Black man named Lamar Brown, who was 25 years old, lost his life in a violent encounter in Denver, Colorado. On the evening of June 24th, police received a call about shots being fired and a person down in the vicinity of the 1000 block of Logan Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Lamar Brown in an alley, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.
