On the evening of February 13, 1999, a shooting occurred near the intersection of East 54th Avenue and Quentin Street in Denver, Colorado. When officers from the Denver Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered a victim who was immediately transported to a local hospital for medical assistance. The victim was identified as Jarvis E. Johnson, a 17-year-old Black male.
Despite medical efforts, Jarvis Johnson succumbed to his injuries two days later, on February 15, 1999.
The case is being investigated as a homicide.
To date, the suspect or suspects responsible for the death of Jarvis Johnson have not been identified, and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. The Denver Police Department's Cold Case Unit continues to seek information from the public that could lead to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for his murder.
