He was planning to go for a Sunday ride with a friend he was there to meet. It was around 12:42 p.m. when the sound of gunshots echoed through the alley. When police officers arrived, they found Breitinger suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced deceased a short time later.
