In the early morning hours of February 16, 2019, the quiet of a Commerce City, Colorado street was shattered by violence. Elias Eugene Pickett, a 27-year-old male, was found lifeless in the 7100 block of Locust Street. Police had been called to the scene around 6 a.m. with reports of a shooting.
