In the early hours of a late spring morning, the body of 34-year-old Quincy Brewer was discovered in the driveway of a residence in the 8100 block of Brighton Boulevard, an area just outside the city limits of Commerce City, Colorado. It was Sunday, May 31, 2020, when deputies from the Adams County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about an unresponsive male.
Upon their arrival, they found Brewer, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
The investigation into the death of the Highlands Ranch man quickly evolved. Detectives learned that Brewer had been sitting in a car with two other individuals, a man and a woman, when the shooting occurred. Through interviews and the execution of several search warrants, which led to the seizure of a vehicle and electronic devices, authorities identified their suspects. Within days, the investigation culminated in the arrests of 23-year-old Maquala Ranee Glenn and 27-year-old Estevon Isaiah Garcia.
Both Glenn and Garcia were taken into custody and held at the Adams County Detention Center. They faced serious charges, including suspicion of first-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence. Further investigation revealed that Garcia, who was known by the moniker 'Statick B,' was a member of the Bloods gang and was on parole at the time of the incident. The case was handled by Adams County Sheriff's Office detectives with assistance from the Regional Anti-Violence Enforcement Network task force, a collaborative unit focused on combating gun and gang violence in the metro area.
