Officer Victoria Louise Chavez, a 39-year-old member of the Farmington Police Department in New Mexico, tragically lost her life on July 9, 1992. The incident occurred while she was conducting a routine vacation check at a local residence.

On the day of the incident, Officer Chavez arrived at the house at approximately 11:15 am. As she approached the residence, she was met with a sudden and deadly confrontation. The owner's son, who was at the house, opened fire on her. The details of the ...
