In the winter of 2020, the life of a young Black / African American man, Jesus Otero Marrero, 21, was cut short in Holyoke, Massachusetts. On the morning of January 10th, police responded to a call at 605 South Bridge Street, where they discovered Marrero's body. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was quickly ruled a homicide. Investigators believe the fatal shooting actually occurred sometime on January 9th.
