In the spring of 2017, a tragedy shattered the peace of a Charleston, West Virginia community. On April 30th, 52-year-old Black male, Bryan Keith Johnson, was inside a residence in the 1000 block of First Avenue on the city's West Side when his life was cut short by gunfire. The incident occurred within an apartment complex where several other adults were present at the time of the shooting.
