In the early morning hours of May 12, 2019, the city of Huntington, West Virginia, was the scene of a fatal shooting. Alvin Vicks, a 30-year-old Black male from Detroit, Michigan, was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound. The discovery was made around 3:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of Third Avenue, near a local bank.
