In the winter of 2016, the life of 57-year-old Lawrence Sykes, a Black male from Huntington, West Virginia, was tragically cut short. On the afternoon of February 4th, Sykes was fatally shot in an apartment at Marcum Terrace. The incident prompted an immediate and intensive investigation by the Huntington Police Department, who quickly identified potential suspects in the violent death of the beloved local man.
