In the early hours of May 28, 2019, the life of 28-year-old Antonio Pierre George, a Black male from Detroit, was cut short by gunfire in Huntington, West Virginia. George was brought to Cabell Huntington Hospital in a private vehicle around 1:30 a.m., having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.

The shooting is reported to have taken place in the 1800 block of Artisan Avenue. When police arrived at the hospital, the individual or individuals who dropped George off were no longer present. The ...
