Marshal William Henry Maeger, a 53-year-old white male, served as a marshal for the Tallapoosa Police Department in Georgia. On February 13, 1910, Marshal Maeger was tragically killed in the line of duty. The incident occurred in the basement jail of the Old City Hall in Tallapoosa.
