Damon A. Dawson, a 23-year-old aspiring rapper, was tragically shot and killed on April 19, 2016, while filming a music video in Foster Park on Chicago's South Side. The music video was for a song about guns, titled “Two Techs and a 50 Shot.” During the shoot, an unidentified gunman approached the group and opened fire, striking Dawson fatally and injuring four others. Dawson was pronounced dead at the scene.
