Joseph Burdine, a 24-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on March 19, 2015, in the Wrightwood neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred in an alley between Kedzie Avenue and Troy Street, just north of 80th Street. Burdine was chased down the alley and shot once in the head and once in the back, ultimately succumbing to his injuries in a parking spot behind an apartment building. His body was found lying face down, partially covered by a sheet.
