In the early evening of November 1, 2020, the life of 33-year-old Solomon J. Blackbird, a male resident of Sioux City, Iowa, was tragically cut short. Responding to a call at 6:46 p.m., law enforcement found Blackbird in the 2600 block of Douglas Street, suffering from a serious gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to MercyOne for medical attention, but despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries.
