On a summer evening in 2015, the life of 22-year-old Marco Cardenas was cut short in a tragic and senseless act of violence. On June 10th, Cardenas, a male resident of West Valley City, Utah, became embroiled in a verbal dispute with a teenager while riding a Utah Transit Authority bus. The argument, centered around rival gang affiliations, escalated as both individuals agreed to exit the bus to settle their differences with a physical fight.
