On July 9, 2015, 32-year-old Daniel Sampel was fatally shot on New Park Avenue in Hartford, Connecticut. Police responded to reports of a serious assault with a firearm at approximately 5:33 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Sampel on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services transported him to Hartford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:02 p.m.
