On a Sunday afternoon, July 26, 2015, Everett Scott, a 47-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in Hartford, Connecticut. The incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. as Scott sat in his maroon minivan on Kenyon Court in the city's North End. Police responded to reports of shots fired in the area and discovered him inside the vehicle with a gunshot wound to the chest.
