On April 5, 2017, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Hartford Police responded to a "shotspotter" activation indicating six gunshots in the area of King Street in Hartford's South End. Upon arrival, officers discovered 24-year-old Jimmy Gonzalez unresponsive in the driveway of 38 King Street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Hartford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:30 a.m.
