On September 19, 2020, 24-year-old Hartford resident and former Albertus Magnus College basketball star, Jaqhawn "JQ" Walters, was fatally shot outside the Jam-Roc Jamaican Restaurant and Lounge at 3395 Main Street in Hartford, Connecticut. The incident occurred around midday, when Walters was transported by private vehicle to St. Francis Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
