In the pre-dawn hours of May 11, 2018, the life of 17-year-old Tyron George, a Black male from Hartford, Connecticut, was brought to a violent end. Shortly before 1 a.m., the city's ShotSpotter system detected the sound of ten gunshots near Huntington and Collins streets. Responding officers discovered the teenager lying in the driveway of a residence at 186 Collins Street. He had been shot multiple times, with at least one wound to the head.

Emergency services transported George to St. F ...
