On March 8, 2021, 19-year-old Andres Bonilla of Hartford, Connecticut, was fatally shot near Connecticut Children's Medical Center and Hartford Hospital. At approximately 2 a.m., Hartford police responded to a ShotSpotter alert on Washington Street. While officers were en route, Hartford Hospital reported that a gunshot victim had been dropped off for treatment.
