In the early hours of a Thursday morning in Hartford, Connecticut, a tragic sequence of events unfolded, ending the life of 34-year-old Hispanic male Miguel Perez. On June 7, 2018, at approximately 2:50 a.m., Perez was driving his car when he was struck by a gunshot to his back. It is believed that he was targeted.

Despite his severe injury, Perez attempted to drive himself to Hartford Hospital. His determined effort to seek help was cut short when he lost control of his vehicle. The car ...
