On a spring afternoon in Hartford, Connecticut, the life of 16-year-old Jamari Preston was tragically cut short. The Black/African American male, a student in the Capitol Region Education Council school district, was found in the backyard of a residence on Magnolia Street on April 10, 2021, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
