On the evening of March 8, 2017, Stephen M. Payne, a 26-year-old resident of Hartford, Connecticut, was found fatally shot in his apartment at 45 Alan Green Way. Hartford police responded to reports of gunfire around 9:15 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Payne in a second-floor unit, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.
