Death by Force

In the summer of 2019, the city of Hartford was struck by a wave of violence that claimed the life of 30-year-old Malcolm Carr, a Black male. On the late evening of Monday, July 8th, Carr was shot on Main Street. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead the following morning. His death marked the 12th homicide in the city that year.
