On July 8, 2019, at approximately 11:40 p.m., Hartford police responded to reports of a shooting behind a building at 1994 Main Street. Upon arrival, officers found 30-year-old Malcolm Carr lying on the ground, surrounded by a large crowd. Emergency responders provided immediate medical attention before transporting Carr to St. Francis Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
