In the early hours of May 16, 2021, a night of illicit revelry in Bridgeport, Connecticut, turned into a scene of chaos and bloodshed, claiming the life of 40-year-old Norman Charles Peter, a Black male from Stamford. The tragedy unfolded in the basement of a building at 1023 Main Street, which was being operated as an illegal after-hours nightclub. Responding to reports of gunfire at approximately 1:56 a.m., police officers arrived to a grim discovery.
