On a tragic night in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the life of a young Black / African American man, 21-year-old Nyair Nixon, was cut short. The date was September 27, 2020, and the setting was the Keystone Lounge on Barnum Avenue. Inside the club, an argument escalated into violence, resulting in Nixon being shot multiple times around 2:20 a.m. After being shot, he stumbled out of the establishment where he was then struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
