On a cold January afternoon in 2022, the life of 22-year-old Kendall Fair of West Hartford was cut short in a burst of gunfire that echoed through the streets of Hartford, marking the city's first homicide of the year. The tragic events of January 18th began to unfold around 1:50 p.m. when the city's ShotSpotter system detected gunfire near Albany Avenue.
