On the evening of August 6, 2016, 42-year-old Steven "Big Pers" Keaton Sr., a resident of New Britain, Connecticut, was fatally shot in Hartford. Around 10 p.m., Hartford police officers near 1994 Main Street heard multiple gunshots. Upon investigation, they discovered Keaton in the rear common hallway of a multi-family residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to St. Francis Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
