On the evening of April 4, 2022, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace at the intersection of Mather and Bedford streets in Hartford, Connecticut. When the chaos subsided, 33-year-old Jermaine Davis, a Black / African American male, was found unresponsive, the victim of a fatal drive-by shooting.
