On July 27, 1924, Police Officer Harvey L. Biggs, aged 33, was fatally shot in Little Rock, Arkansas, while investigating an auto parts burglary. Despite having only four days of service with the Little Rock Police Department, Officer Biggs was committed to his duties.
Officer Biggs and his partner were alerted to several individuals stripping parts from a car stranded in a ditch. They waited for the suspects to return and, upon approach, the suspects immediately opened fire and fled.
