In the early spring of 2012, the Pine Bluff, Arkansas community was shaken by the tragic death of 12-year-old Quinshun SirKeyes Parks, a Black male. On the afternoon of March 10th, a gathering of youths at a residence on East Harding Avenue took a devastating turn. Amidst what some witnesses described as playful interaction, while others suggested a more deliberate act, a single gunshot echoed. Quinshun was struck in the hip by a bullet that tragically pierced his abdomen.
